TOYOJIRO, a popular Jiro-style ramen restaurant in Kyoto, Japan, placed a bounty on the heads of two customers who left a one-star review. The owner shared a threatening note against the customers for tarnishing the reputation of his eatery. The owner also offered a reward of 100,000 yen (Rs 58,000, approximately) to anyone who could track down the two customers. The Instagram post stated that the search would continue until the duo returned to the restaurant and left a positive review. "I saw your post, and you seem a bit weird,” the owner wrote on Instagram, as reported by Dexerto. "We try not to treat people like you as customers, so it’s fine. But you should probably avoid eating out. Someday, someone like you will get screwed. I don’t care — just come directly, and I’ll deal with you," the owner wrote in a now-deleted post. He also wrote, "We run a planned business, so if you get in our way, we’ll get in the way of yours too.” After facing backlash on social media for his aggression, the owner deleted the post. “I know there are pros and cons. For an act that went too far I’m reflecting on this. I’m looking forward to reflecting and moving forward. Thank you,” the owner wrote in another post, according to Dexerto. The restaurant also issued an apology for the owner’s behaviour in an Instagram post, which has since been removed.
