Cherished ‘I Go Meow’ cat Cala dies leaving everyone speechless

Cala the cat, famously known as the “I go meow” cat died, as per what her owner Elizabeth shared on TikTok and Instagram on Thursday, May 30.

In February, a video of Cala meowing in her unique way went viral and she became an internet sensation. People were amazed because it sounded like she was saying “I go, meow, I go, meow,” over and over. People across the world fell in love with her instantly.

On learning the news of Cala’s death, an Instagram user wrote, “Cala we will miss you dearly.” Another user commented, “Her meow did seem like it came from a place of experience. She was a wise old cat.” A third user said, “Why do animal deaths always hit so hard I never met this cat but I’m head crying for her rip cala we all love you.” Another user commented, “Cala will always be remembered, her beautiful voice will live on ♥️🙏 Sending you all so much love right now.”

Top three videos featuring Cala garnered over 100 million views and 16 million likes. She was considered special since she was a rescue cat, was orange, and because she could “talk”. She was older than originally thought. Her human Elizabeth was by her side when she died.
