In a similar incident earlier this week, a wild elephant was spotted stopping trucks on a busy road in Odisha’s Sundargarh district. According to NDTV, the elephant appeared on the Sagargarh-Mandijoda road in the Koida Bankhand area, after being separated from its herd. As trucks carrying aluminium approached, the elephant stood in the middle of the road, forcing drivers to stop.

Although the sight of it was alarming, the elephant showed no signs of aggression. Instead, it walked up to one of the trucks, used its trunk to take a bag from the driver’s seat, sniffed it, and appeared to be searching for food.

In another incident last month, a herd of wild animals attacked a religious gathering in Dehradun. According to reports, the elephants were irked by the loud music played during the procession. In one of the viral videos of the incident, an adult elephant was seen attacking a van parked on the roadside.
