‘Why are you touching her?’: drunk men attempt to hug Russian influencer and friend at beach; video sparks backlash

A Russian YouTuber and her friend were recently harassed by a group of drunk men, sparking outrage on social media. A video of the incident, posted on Instagram by Oksana, 23, has got two million views.

In the viral clip, Oksana, who goes by the handle @qoqsik1, is seen recording a video with her friend from Thailand when they are approached by a group of men at a beach that many social media users assumed to be in India. After a brief exchange about where the women were from, the men allegedly began hugging them and forcing them to take selfies.

While Oksana immediately moved away, the men reportedly surrounded her friend. At that moment, she confronted them and issued a warning. “Why are you touching her? What the he**! One more move and I’m going to beat your a**, you hear me?” she is heard saying in the video.

Oksana did not reveal the location where the incident occurred. Sharing the video, she wrote, “Some drunk people are just…”

The video quickly drew attention, sparking outrage against the men in question. “I liked you stood strong with your friend,” an Instagram user noted. “Typical Indian Behaviour when they see a Foreigner,” another user commented.

“I am from india this is absolutly wrong behave,” a third user reacted.

Recently, Emma, a travel vlogger, and her friend were harassed by men when making their way through the crowd at the Post Malone concert in Guwahati, Assam. Emma also emphasised that the incident should not be seen as representative of Guwahati, as they came across several people who helped them. “Throughout our time here, we’ve experienced so much kindness, warmth, and genuine hospitality. We met countless people last night who were lovely, respectful, and excited to share the moment,” she wrote on Instagram.
