The shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh has again brought the attention to the gun laws in the United States. While a CNN report quoted the Anti-Defamation League calling the gun massacre — which has a death toll of 11 at present — the ‘deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the history’, US president Donald Trump’s comment on the shooting has triggered outrage.

Clearly, the comment did not go down well with many, who were outraged after hearing Trump’s statement. While some criticised him for blaming the victims for not being ‘armed’ others mocked the US president for his comment.
