A wholesome gesture of sportsmanship and joy displayed by para karate champion Farzad Safavi Vardin is going viral. On July 22, Iran’s Vardin won gold at the 2023 Para-Karate Championship in the ‘Intellectually Impaired Male’ category.
After he was announced as the winner in Melaka, Malaysia, Vardin went towards his opponent who was standing next to him and raised his hand up, as a gesture of victory. Soon the match’s moderators also joined the karate champions and everyone held hands and raised them.

Over the years I have learnt that they show more compassion and empathy to the others than our ” normal” child!! They preserve their innocence forever and that’s what makes them so special!! Kudos to the winner for sharing his Winning moment so beautifully with his opponent ”.
