One user wrote, “Didnt a whistle blower die recently for telling people Boeing was building ticking time bombs?” Another user expressed, “Part of my travel planning now includes finding non Boeing flights.” A third user chimed in, “A lot of these planes have to be 30 years old. I was on a United flight two days ago that was so old it had an ash tray in the bathroom.”

In the Instagram post, @nowthis also explained that this incident follows two others earlier in the week when a United Airlines Boeing 777-200 departing San Francisco on March 7 lost a landing gear tire during take-off. The plane landed safely in Los Angeles.

Another United flight, this time from Houston to Florida on March 7, made an emergency landing after its engine caught fire. The cause? Plastic bubble wrap ingested by the engine on the tarmac.

The close succession of these events has raised concerns about Boeing’s safety record. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the runway departure in Houston, while the earlier incidents are also under review.
