Picture blog on rape prevention tips goes viral

Tip #2: When you see a woman walking by herself, leave her alone.

Originally posted as a list on a blog Can you relate? in 2011, the post was intenteded as tips for probable rapist. The post was created at a time when a spate of rape reports had started coming out of India. However, it has started going viral just recently.

While society discards rape victims, and public figures too prefer to give tips to victims, this list turn the focus on the rapists on how the themselves can prevent the crime.

Although this picture blog has gone viral, there are mixed reactions on it. Some see it as a sarcastic attack on offenders however, some men and women find it offensive. Recently Sarah Silverman, a stand-up comedian, tweeted with the same picture and got various reactions:
