WhatsApp screen sharing will be available on both Android and iOS devices (Image credit: wabetainfo) Meta continues to add new features to its instant messaging platform — WhatsApp. According to a report by WABetaInfo, the company is currently beta testing a new feature on Android devices that allows users to screen share, similar to what one can do on video conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
To screen share on WhatsApp, users need to initiate a call and then select the screen share option located in the bottom left corner. This feature allows users to mirror their smartphone display entirely. When enabled, the app displays a disclaimer stating that WhatsApp will have access to all details, such as passwords, messages, phone numbers, and other personal information while screen sharing.

For security reasons, WhatsApp screen sharing is likely to work if both parties have the latest version of the app. Currently, the feature is still in the beta phase and is expected to be available in the stable version of WhatsApp in the next few weeks.
As a part of making WhatsApp a feature-rich instant messaging platform and to stay relevant, Meta has been introducing new features almost every week. The social media conglomerate recently added features like private chat with the ability to lock and secure individual chats. Similarly, it also introduced an option where users can edit messages within 15 minutes, providing more freedom by allowing message users to edit sent messages.
