TCL launches Nxtwear S Plus AR glasses with 4K 120Hz display
The ultra-lightweight TCL Nxtwear S Plus packs a serious punch with vibrant 600-nit displays.

TCL has unveiled its latest AR offering – the Nxtwear S Plus. Building upon the foundation laid by its predecessor, the Nxtwear S, these new AR specs pack a serious punch with some impressive improvements under the hood.
At $399, the Nxtwear S Plus allows users to connect to compatible devices like phones or consoles via USB-C DisplayPort or optional adapters. This unlocks a truly immersive viewing experience, with users able to enjoy their favourite shows, movies, games, and apps on a massive virtual 215-inch screen from just six meters away.
While the original Nxtwear S delivered solid 2D visuals at 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Plus model takes things to new heights with 3D content displayed at an eye-popping 3840 x 1080 pixels. But that’s not all – these smart glasses have received a significant brightness boost, now packing 600 nits compared to the previous 400 nits. This translates to more vibrant colours and superior contrast.
Smoothness is also a key focus area, with the dual displays now boasting a silky 120Hz refresh rate – double that of the original model. While 4K resolution would have been the cherry on top, TCL has still managed to push boundaries at this price point.
Perhaps most impressively, the Nxtwear S Plus weighs in at just 87 grams – a full 2 grams lighter than its already featherweight predecessor. This ultralight design ensures maximum comfort during extended viewing sessions.
At the moment, there’s no indication about when these smart glasses may launch in India, if they do at all.
