
Samsung brand ambassador in Russia was sued by the company for around $1.6 million after she was seen using rival Apple’s iPhone X on TV. As per a report on SamMobile, Ksenia Sobchak, who is a reality TV show host and politician was seen using iPhone X during a TV interview. Samsung Russia has not released an official statement yet.
“She seems to do her best to try and hide that she’s using an iPhone X, using a piece of paper to shield the phone from view. It’s not that hard to notice and many people did which caused a frenzy on social media,” the report reads. A statement from Sobchak’s representative is also awaited.
Meanwhile, people have taken to social media to discuss the incident. “Samsung pays woman $1.6 million dollars to use their phone…and she still refuses….lol.” said one of the users. Another Twitter user took a dig at Indian brand ambassadors for smartphone companies such as Oppo, Vivo, etc.
