Realme founder and CEO Sky Li on Monday announced on X (previously Twitter) that the company will soon introduce the “Note” series of smartphones, which is expected to compete against the Redmi Note series. Considering the demand for large-screen smartphones, the Realme Note series is likely to cater for those, who are looking for affordable large-screen smartphones.

Realme currently has the budget C series, the mid-range numbered series, and the flagship Realme GT series. The upcoming Note series is likely to sit between the Realme number series and the flagship GT series.

According to the latest leak, the Realme Note 1 will be the first smartphone in the series with a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is reported to be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7050 SoC, and the device is also said to include a triple camera setup with a 108 MP primary camera, 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2 MP macro lens along with a 16 MP selfie camera.

The Realme Note 1 is said to include a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, and the device will also feature a stereo speaker setup. Considering the leak and its comparison with the Infinix Note 30 and the Redmi Note 13, the upcoming Realme Note 1 could be priced well under the Rs 20,000 price mark.

As of now, it is unclear when the Realme Note 1 will be unveiled and if this series will have more devices like the Pro and the Pro+ models similar to the Redmi Note lineup. Besides, Realme just confirmed that the Realme 12 Pro series of smartphones will be launched in India on January 29.
