Reliance Jio, one of the biggest telecom operators in India has announced three new 5G data booster plans. These plans are aimed at users subscribed to prepaid plans that offer 1GB or 1.5GB of mobile data every day and have the same validity as your existing active plans. Listed under the True Unlimited Upgrade section on the Jio website, these plans are priced at Rs 51, Rs 101 and Rs 151 respectively but are incompatible with Rs 479 and Rs 1,899 prepaid plans. The cheapest of the three - the Rs 51 plan offers 3GB of 4G mobile data, after which the speed will be limited to 44kbps. In case you live in an area where 5G connectivity is spotty at best, we recommend checking out the Rs 101 and Rs 151 data booster plans, which offer 6GB of 4G data and 9GB of 4G data alongside unlimited 5G. One thing to note is that these plans offer unlimited 5G data and start consuming from your 4G quota in areas where the network isn't available. For those wondering, the Rs 61 plan, which offered 6GB of data and has the same validity as your existing plan has now been removed. Jio already offers unlimited 5G for users who have subscribed to plans that offer 2GB mobile data per day. These 5G data booster plans can be purchased from the Jio website, My Jio app or from your nearby Jio store or retailer. Alternatively, you can also recharge them from UPI-based apps like Google Pay, Amazon Pay, PhonePe and PayTM.
