The One UI 6 update for Galaxy Watches will be based on Wear OS 5, promising to introduce select on-device AI experiences to enhance health and fitness monitoring.

The update will combine the capabilities of Samsung Health with Galaxy AI to offer comprehensive health insights. A new metric called “Energy Score,” designed to help users better understand their daily conditions will be introduced. This score combines factors such as average sleep time, sleep time consistency, bed/wake time consistency, sleep timing, previous day activity, sleeping heart rate, and heart rate variability.

Samsung will also introduce “Wellness Tips” with the One UI 6 update, providing users with helpful insights to reach their personal fitness goals.

Other prominent features of the One UI 6 update for Galaxy Watches include greater precision and accuracy in sleep analysis using an AI algorithm, detailed Aerobic Threshold (AT) / Anaerobic Threshold (AnT) Heart Rate Zone metrics, and new workout routines.

The stable version of the One UI 6 update for eligible Galaxy Watches will be available later this year. The company is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7 series, including the flagship Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra, to compete with the Apple Watch Ultra 2 on July 10 at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris. At the event, Samsung will also unveil the next-generation Galaxy Z Flip/Fold 6 foldables and its first smart Galaxy Ring.
