The Poco F1 smartphone will get Android Pie and Android Q updates. Xiaomi sub-brand Pocophoe’s head of product Jai Mani confirmed this on Twitter. This means that the company will deliver software updates to its Poco F1 for at least two years like Google’s Pixel smartphones, OnePlus devices, etc.
Poco F1 will likely get the Android Pie update with MIUI 10 soon as the global beta ROM for the phone is already available. Mani issued the bit about Android P and Q updates as a reply on a tweet made by a user, who asked the company to provide consumers with two Android version updates.
The company earlier announced that the Poco F1 will receive MIUI 10 update this week, which is currently in beta.
Android 9 Pie based MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM for Poco F1 is already available and was first spotted by XDA-developers. According to a screenshot, the build comes with Android’s latest security patch for the month of October.
Poco F1 sports a 6.18-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2246×1080 pixels. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with Adreno 630 GPU. It comes with 6GB/ 8GB RAM along with 64GB/ 128GB/ 256GB of internal storage. The device runs Google’s Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with the company’s own MIUI based Poco launcher on top. All of this is backed by a 4000mAh battery non-removable battery.

The device sports a dual camera setup on the back, consisting of a 12MP primary sensor with a f/1.9 aperture, and a 5MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/2.0. On the front, it features a 20MP sensor for taking selfies.
