Panasonic today launched its first 2.5D curved display smartphone - the ELUGA Arc- at Rs 12,490. The 4G-enabled Panasonic Eluga Arc also comes with a fingerprint sensor, which can be configured for 5 different fingerprints and commands. The fingerprint sensor in Panasonic Eluga Arc can be used for unlocking the screen, picking calls, launching applications, camera and locking individual apps. It houses an eight megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a five megapixel front camera. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) on top of FitHome UI. Pankaj Rana, Business Head, Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, “This control-sensitive device, which achieves complex tasks with a single fingerprint is personalized for the user and protects the smartphone investment. Our first curved display device in the 4G/LTE series, the Arc is rich in technology innovation, including an inbuilt sensor to operate home automated appliances.” Panasonic Eluga Arc is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory (expandable up to 32 GB). It is backed by 1800 mAh battery. The battery in Eluga Arc can be charged 75 per cent faster with Qualcomm Quick Charge technology, says Panasonic.
