One of the fastest charging tablet in the market (Image credit: Xiaomi)Along with the new Xiaomi 14 series of smartphones and Xiaomi Watch 2, the company launched its latest flagship Android tablet—Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, featuring a high-resolution 3K display with 144Hz refresh rate at the Mobile World Congress 2024. Priced at 699 Euros or approximately Rs 62,700, it is also one of the most expensive tablets the company has ever launched.
The tablet has an updated Mi Canvas app with generative AI support, which can create images using text prompts, similar to Gemini AI. It also comes with an AI conference toolbox that can summarise web pages and can also translate them in real-time.
The tablet comes with a metal unibody with a thickness of 6.26mm, and the company is also selling additional accessories such as a keyboard folio and Xiaomi Focus Pen, which supports up to 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity along with a lower latency of 5ms.
The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro is a big tablet that offers a 12.4-inch screen with a native resolution of 3048x2032p with a peak brightness of up to 900 nits, and the same is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with Dolby Vision support. The tablet also has a six-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos.
The tablet runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with 8/12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of internal storage, and the tablet ships with the company’s latest HyperOS, based on Android 14 OS. Modern connectivity options like Wi-Fi 7 (up to 5.8 Gbps), Bluetooth 5.3, and a fast USB-C port with support for USB 3.2 Gen1 with a higher data transfer speed.
The device has a high-resolution 50 MP primary camera, a 2 MP depth sensor at the back, and a 32 MP selfie camera at the front. The tablet is fueled by a 10,000 mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging, making it one of the fastest-charging tablets on the market, which can fully charge the tablet in 35 minutes.
