Motorola is known for making some of the best value-for-money smartphones that offer a plethora of features and a clean UI. While the Lenovo-owned company does make good phones, it has a poor track record of offering software and security updates.
While smartphone manufacturers like Oppo, Vivo and Samsung are already working on bringing the Android 15 update, Motorola is yet to publicly say anything about which devices will get Android 15. According to a recent report by YTECHB, the company did recently update its US support and published details of phones that are eligible for Android 15.
| Motorola Razr series | Motorola Edge series | Motorola G series |
| Razr 40 | Edge+ (2023) | Moto G Power 5G (2024) |
| Razr 40 Ultra | Edge (2024) | Moto G 5G (2024) |
| Razr 50 | Edge 40 Pro | Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) |

| Edge 50 Fusion | Moto G35 | |
| Edge 50 Neo | Moto G45 | |

Moreover, it is still unclear if and when these updates will be available, and given the company’s past track record for Android updates, it is likely that you will have to wait anywhere between a month to more than half a year before you get to experience the newest Android version on your device.
Motorola has yet to update a bunch of devices which it stated were getting the Android 14 update, so chances are you might have to wait almost a year, especially if you have a budget Motorola phone. One thing to note here is that since the information has been pulled from Motorola’s US support page, some of these phones may not be available in India or sold under a different name.
To give you a quick recap, Android 15 brings several new features and changes to the already mature mobile operating system. This includes native support for satellite connectivity, which isn’t available in India, the ability to use phone cameras as a webcam via USB-C, optimisations for foldable devices and more.
