Honor 9N gets a 5.84-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The screen has a 19:9 aspect ratio. In terms of optics, Honor 9N sports a 13MP primary sensor and 2MP depth-sensing camera sensor on the rear. There is a 16MP selfie camera that comes with AI beautification mode.

Under the hood, Honor 9N is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 processor paired with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. The phone supports expandable storage support up to 256GB via a microSD card. Honor 9N runs EMUI 8.0, which is based on Android Oreo. The battery backup is a 3,000mAh one. Honor 9i (2018) was launched in China for a price of Yuan 1399 (or approx Rs 14,647) for the 64GB model, while the 128GB version came for a price of Yuan 1699 (roughly Rs 17,800).
Honor 9N gets dual rear cameras, a combination of 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The cameras support PDAF and the ‘Bokeh' effect as well. The secondary lens has an aperture size of f/0.95 to add depth to the pictures taken in a blurry background. Honor 9N comes with Ride Mode, which can be enabled to temporarily stop notifications. The Party Mode lets users connect six smartphones with one master device to play in-sync music.

The close eye prevention option prevents anyone from unlocking Honor 9N when the registered user' eyes are closed, claims the company. Honor 9N lets users pay on Paytm app via fingerprint sensor thanks to Paytm Pay feature.
Honor 9N base storage model with 3GB RAM 32GB internal space is priced at Rs 11,999. The 4GB RAM 64GB storage option costs Rs 13,999, while higher-end 4GB RAM 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 17,999. The phone is exclusive to Flipkart at sale starts 12 noon on July 31. Honor 9N buyers can avail Es 2,200 cashback and 100GB additional data from Reliance Jio as well as Rs 1,200 Myntra voucher.
