HMD announces Crest and Crest Max with repairable back panel, battery and display: Check price, specs and offers

Running on Android 14 out of the box, HMD has promised 2 years of security updates, but there is no word on whether these phones will get any Android updates. While both devices have almost identical looks and hardware, HMD Crest has a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor.

On the other hand, the HMD Crest Max packs a triple camera setup that consists of a 64MP primary sensor alongside a 5MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. Both devices come with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The company says these phones can maintain battery health for up to 800 charging cycles.’

These phones also support Repairability 1.0, which simplifies the process of replacing the back panel, battery, display and charging port, which might help extend the lifespan of these devices and cut down on e-waste.

The HMD Crest is available in three colourways – Midnight Blue, Royal Pink and Lush Lilac and comes in only one configuration 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, which costs Rs 14,449. HMD Crest Max also has three colourways – Deep Purple, Royal Pink and Aquad Green, with the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version priced at Rs 16,499.

HMD Crest and Crest Max will be available on Amazon India in the upcoming Great Freedom Sale and can be purchased for Rs 12,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively as part of a special introductory offer.
