Lenovo has unveiled the Legion Go 2, the successor to its handheld gaming PC, with a launch scheduled for October. The new model is larger, heavier, and $400 more expensive than the first-generation Legion Go, but it comes with several upgrades based on user feedback.

The Legion Go 2 introduces Switch-like detachable wireless controllers, an integrated kickstand, and a hidden optical mouse. It features an 8.8-inch OLED display with a true 30–144 Hz variable refresh rate (VRR), allowing smoother gameplay even at lower frame rates—a notable improvement over the original Legion Go, which lacked VRR.

Powered by AMD’s Ryzen Z2 and Z2 Extreme processors, the handheld may not deliver a huge leap in CPU performance compared to the previous generation. AMD itself notes that the Z2 is on par with the Z1E with better software optimisation, though early tests suggest the Z2E may offer slight gains.

Storage and memory options have also been upgraded. In North America, 1TB is now the baseline, with high-end models offering up to 2TB. Most variants ship with 32GB RAM, except the entry-level configuration. The power button now doubles as a fingerprint scanner, a feature increasingly common in Windows handhelds.

$1,199.99 (Rs 1,05,925, approximately) for 32GB RAM/1TB storage
