Finding a gaming laptop that offers a great price for performance has always been hard. And with the chip shortage inflating prices of processors and graphic cards in the last couple of years, looking for a laptop that packs powerful hardware on a budget is virtually impossible.
However, things seem to be changing for good with companies like Acer, MSI, Gigabyte and others launching gaming laptops at an affordable price point. Here, we will list some of the best gaming laptops under Rs 1 lakh.
Powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H processor, the Acer Nitro 5 features Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU and a 15.6-inch FHD display with 144Hz refresh rate. It runs on Windows 11 Home out of the box and comes with a 512GB SSD paired with 8GB RAM, which can be upgraded up to 32GB.
While you can buy a different model featuring Nvidia’s RTX 3050ti, the performance difference is minimal. Some other features include a quad exhaust design for better cooling and a backlit RGB keyboard with 4 lighting zones. It is available on Amazon for Rs 79,999.
Last on the list is the MSI Katana GF66, a laptop that comes with Nvidia RTX 3060 and is powered by the 12th Gen Intel i7-12450H processor. It has a 15.6-inch FHD screen with 144Hz refresh rate.
The laptop comes with Windows 11 Home and has 16GB of RAM and 512TB SSD. It is currently available for Rs 84,990 and is one of the cheapest laptops powered by the Nvidia RTX 3060.
There are many variants of Asus’ TUF Gaming laptops, but the one that caught our eye was the one powered by the Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU. Similar to Acer, it has a 15.6-inch FHD screen with 144Hz refresh rate and comes with Windows 11 Home pre-installed.
Featuring the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor, it can comfortably run recent AAA titles on medium to high settings. The laptop comes with 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD storage and a RGB backlit keyboard. It can be purchased for Rs 97,900.
Dell’s latest version of the G15-5515 gaming laptop comes with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H paired with the tried and tested Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU. It has a 15.6-inch FHD screen with 165Hz refresh rate.
Similar to other gaming laptops in the price segment, you get 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. The only downside is that the price and weight are a bit on the higher side compared to laptops from other manufacturers with similar specifications, but this one comes with Microsft Office pre-installed. It is priced at Rs 1,02,990.
Gigabyte recently announced several new laptops aimed at productivity and gaming at its recent event. The Gigabyte G5 MF sports the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12450H processor and is the only laptop on the list to come with Nvidia’s latest RTX 4050 GPU. The company is yet to launch the laptop in India, but the Gigabyte G5 MF starts from Rs 90,999.
If you can spend a bit more, we recommend you go with the Gigabyte G5 KF, which comes with the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H and Nvidia RTX 4060 and will cost Rs 107,999.
If you can wait for a few weeks, we would suggest going with the Gigabyte G5 since it is the only gaming laptop on the list that comes with Nvidia’s RTX 4000 series GPU. But since it is yet to launch in India, the best gaming laptop under Rs 1 lakh you can purchase right now is the MSI Katana GF66.
For casual gamers, the Acer Nitro 5 is a good choice considering it is way cheaper compared to other laptops on the list and can run most titles at medium settings.
