Epic Games recently concluded the Fortnite Chapter 4 finale called ‘The Bing Bang’ with a performance by the popular rapper Eminem. The event started by blowing up the entirety of the ‘Fortnite OG’ map and teased several upcoming game modes, one of which is the highly anticipated Lego Fortnite.
Fortnite’s upcoming Lego-themed game mode puts players in an open world where they must craft items to survive. The game mode won’t look anything like Fortnite but a blocky world that is made from Lego pieces.
The 22-second-long trailer released by Epic Games does not reveal anything other than the release date, which is set for December 7, but we can see the Lego-fied version of the Brite Bomber and the Supply Llama which hints that the game mode might feature Lego-themed characters.

Moreover, the upcoming in-game mode seems to be targeting players across all age groups with USRN’s E10+ classification, meaning it is safe for children. To give you a quick recap, Fortnite is rated T for teens (13+ years).
A recent image shared on the Lego website shows that the game mode might feature three biomes – a rocky desert, snow peaks and a lush grassland with some popular Lego characters like Peely, Cuddle Team Leader and Brite Bomber.
In a blog post, Fortnite also announced that with the v28 update, the game will have over 1,200 Lego-styled outfits in addition to the regular ones and that they will be playable in the upcoming game mode.
While the official announcement does not reveal any more information, a recent leak hints that Fortnite’s Lego model will feature mining mechanics and a building tool with nine slots that can be used to store schematics. It also suggests that sleeping in a bed will help restore health and stamina, with mining as the primary source of building materials.
Lego and Epic Games announced a $1 billion partnership in April last year, and the upcoming Lego Fortnite game mode seems to be the first step in building what Lego terms as “a space in the metaverse that’s fun, entertaining, and made for kids and families.”
