Raspberry Pi has launched a new low cost computing board at just $5. The product is called Pi Zero and will be the cheapest way for anyone to experience computing.

The Pi Zero specs are below:

1. A broadcom BCM2835 processor with 1GHz ARM 11 processor

2. 512MB RAM

3. A micro-SD card slot

4. A mini-HDMI socket for 1080p60 video output

5. Micro-USB sockets for data and power

6. An unpopulated 40-pin GPIO header with Identical pinout to Model A+/B+/2B

7. An unpopulated composite video header

8. Our smallest ever form factor, at 65mm x 30mm x 5mm

The missing features are a Ethernet jack or a Wi-Fi but that is acceptable for the price. The available micro-USB port will serve as a port for connecting any Wi-Fi dongle.
