
Adobe has launched a new AI-powered assistant called Acrobat AI, which helps users summarise and search through lengthy documents. Available on desktop, web and mobile versions of the app, Acrobat AI will be available as an add-on subscription starting at $4.99 per month.
Adobe says the new generative AI-powered assistant is deeply integrated into Reader and Acrobat workflows and enables users to “get insights and format and share content from all kinds of digital documents – quickly and easily.” Acrobat AI works with other document formats like Word, and PowerPoint and can also help transcribe meetings.
If you are going through a lengthy document, Acrobat AI shows clickable links that can help quickly locate the information in a document. The company says no content from the customer’s document is stored on their server or used the further train the gen AI-powered tool.
Launched earlier this year in February in beta, the mobile version of Acrobat AI can be used to summarise and ask questions about documents via voice commands. For those using a web browser, it is available as an extension on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Adobe says Acrobat AI is available to both free and paid users as an add-on subscription, with early access pricing starting at $4,99 per month, which roughly translates to Rs 420 until June 5. However, the AI assistant can be currently used for free for a limited time from the Reader mobile app.
