Meera Ghosh, Srijit Srinivasan, Amieyra Khoslla win three gold medals at North Zone Sport Climbing Championship

The tournament – which concluded on Sunday – had events spread out across three venues: Climb Central Delhi for Lead Climbing, BoulderBox for Bouldering, and the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) for Speed Climbing

Meera Ghosh, Srijit Srinivasan and Amieyra Khoslla clinched three gold medals in their respective age groups at the North Zone Sport Climbing Championship 2025.

The tournament – which concluded on Sunday – had events spread out across three venues: Climb Central Delhi for Lead Climbing, BoulderBox for Bouldering, and the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) for Speed Climbing.

In the sub-junior girls’ category, Meera, a student of Vasant Valley School, won gold medals in all three formats to sweep the podium. Similarly, in the sub-junior boys’ category, Srijit, a student of Modern School in Vasant Vihar, prevailed in all three formats.

Gauri Singh (two silver and one bronze), Anayata Bishnoi (one silver and two bronze), Sourya Verma (two silver and a bronze), and Vivaan Verma (a silver and two bronze) finished with three medals each.

Amieyra and Guntas Kaur Chhabra dominated the junior girls’ category winning gold and silver respectively in all the events.

Junior boys was the only category where the three events had different winners. Siddhartha Garg won gold in bouldering, Deepu Kumar in lead climbing and Abhay Negi in speed climbing.

In the senior women’s category, Asian Youth Championship medallist Shivani Charak dominated with two gold and a silver medal. Shivani, from Jammu & Kashmir, won gold in lead climbing and speed climbing but fell behind Ritika Rawat of Uttarakhand in bouldering to get the silver medal.

In the senior men’s category, Sachin Saroj won gold medals in both lead and speed climbing while Karan Singh finished with three medals (silver in bouldering and bronze in both speed climbing and lead climbing).

The top 30 athletes from this championship will represent the North Zone in the National Championships.
