Virender Sehwag shows why he’s the boss even in the commentary box, see videos

Virender Sehwag’s on field personality had made him one of the most feared batsmen in the world. His knocks are some of the most memorable ones of the first decade of the 21st century and the notion of the tame Indian batsman was forever knocked out of the park by Sehwag. As it turns out, the man’s name refuses to die out. Since his retirement, Sehwag started getting noticed because of his witty tweets.

Sehwag’s wit was carried into the commentary box. He was first part of the Hindi commentary team for New Zealand’s tour of India. New Zealand was blown out of the park in the series and Virender Sehwag wasn’t leaving anyone in the commentary box. From fellow commentators to the players on the field, everyone were the target of Sehwag’s swashbuckling sense of humour.

“Jaise sweep marte hai Municipality ka contract mil sakta hai inko,” said Sehwag on Tom Latham’s batting abilities. Complementing and roasting a man at the same time is a rare talent and Sehwag makes it look, or sound, easy.

Martin Guptill might just be left scratching his head in disbelief when he may have heard excerpts of the commentary. He may have needed someone to translate it thouhg.

Shoaib Akhtar was know for his volatile personality on the field other than his ridiculously fast deliveries and Sehwag has spoilt his spells quite a few times. The rivalry seemed to have spilled onto the commentary box. It might be difficult to decide a winner in this dual though.
