Kuldeep Yadav back and Jurel with a single before Rana smashes a SIX!! What's cruel is they could have gotten him out in the last over via LBW but did not review. Rana sweeps the next delivery for a four as RR is kept alive in the chase. And Jurel has been given LBW!! But he is going to review. And that's wickets missing. 13 from this one.

Axar back and oh dear!! Stubbs just misses the ball entirely near the boundary and that's gone for a 6!! Rana follows that up with a four before taking a single. Jurel returns the favour with a single of his own. A four by Rana to end the over.

Kuldeep Yadav will continue and starts with just 2 off the first 3 balls. rana sweeps for the covers and Mohit with an excellent save near the ropes to halt a sure-shot six!! 4 from the over.

Stubbs introduced and Jaiswal with a monstrous six off the second delivery as Starc circles under it but just watches it sail over the long on ropes. Rana on strike now and eases the 4th delivery over the sweeper cover for a four!! 13 off the over.

Axar in to bowl the next and he has absolutely bamboozled Riyan Parag!! That went right through his defence and shattered his stumps!!

Axar brings himself on next and gives away just 2 from the first 4 deliveries. Pretty good over so far with the RR batters can't get their shots away. Just 2 from this one.

Vipraj Nigam in the attack and starts with a short ball which Samson slams duly for a four!! Follows that up with a six which is powered over deep midwicket. It's a no ball now Saanju looked to be in a bit of pain after attempting a late cut. The physio is there to check. And he restarts again but after a hit, he still is in pain and Samson walks off, retired hurt.

Mohit Sharma has replaced Stac now and starts with back to back dots. And Samson goes after him as well, slamming the next ball straight to the lmid off boundary for 4!! And there's a dropped chance as Ashutosh missed the ball altogether!! Samson survives. 50-partnership up

Mukesh wlll continue and after Jaiswal takes a single, Samson slams him over long on for a 6!!! Goes for it again but can't get all of it so just a single. Jaiswal with a single as well and Samson can see this one off. He takes a single to end.

Starc continues and Jaiswal gets an under edge and gets pretty lucky that he has not played it on. A wide next by the Australian. Jaiswal finds the gap off the second and gets a boundary!! Goes one better and swivel pulls the next one for a 6 over deep midwicket. And another four to follow as he slaps the delivery over midwicket for a four!! Takes 2 to retain strike for the last delivery. Already a big over, this one. How will it finish? Just a single to end.

Mukesh to bowl the next one and Sanju with a pick up shot off his hips to get a SIX!! Takes a single next and Jaiswal slaps the 3rd delivery cleanly, down the ground for another 6!! 14 from this over ultimately.

Back live and Samson and Jaiswal in the crease. Starc with the new ball in hand. Starts with back to back dots as Jaiswal struggles to get away. Another dot before the 4th delivery raps Jaiswal on the pads to get 1 leg bye. Samson with a single to end.

Sandeep Sharma in to bowl the last over and starts with a wide and a dot. A review by DC now for a wide. It's given and sandeep follows it up with 2 more wides!! Not what RR would want. Too many extras. And it's a no ball!! And Stubbs with a four off the free hit!! Full toss next and Stubbs powers it over the ropes for a 6!! This is turning out to be a big over for DC. Jofra Archer in to bowl the 19th and Ashutosh and Stubbs slap him for two boundaries from this one already. A single next as a Stubbs carve gets to a fielder at third man. Ashutosh on strike and he smashes a boundary!! Incredible shot selection. A leg bye to end. 16 off this one.

Sandeep Sharma back in the atatck and starts well with the DC big hitters in Stubbs and Ashutosh can only take 2 from the first two deliveries. There's an appeal now from Samson for a caught behind on Ashutosh. And there's no bat and there's a lost review. 7 from the over.

DC 153/5 after 18 overs

Theekshana back and starts with a poor full toss that Axar whips for a 6 over the ropes before taking a single. This is Patel's highest score in this IPL. Another full toss and Axar slices away for a four!! The ball might be slipping from Theekshana's hands due to dew. Finds the gap again and axar smashes another four!! Nothing wrong with the ball this time. AND GONE!! The bowler gets the last laugh as a full toss is played straight into the hands of Jurel.

Hasaranga continues and starts with a short ball that Axar miscues and that's just out of the reach of the diving Hetmyer for a four!! Follows it up with a drive that goes for another 4!! That one was deliberate. Gets even better for the DC skipper as he gets down on one knee and slogs the next one over the ropes for a SIX!! Ohhh!!! Stubbs has been dropped now as Parag can't quite reach it!!

Deshpande to bowl the next one and Axar and Stubbs take singles off the first two deliveries. Two runs from the next two balls as well as DC struggle to break the shackles. 5 from this one.

Hasaranga back in the attack and Stubbs pushes the first ball but gets no run. And he finally gets a good hold of the 3rd delivery and that has whistled over the ropes for a 6!!! Porel tries to go for it too and he's gone!! Straight at Riyan Parag who will not drop these.

Jofra Archer back in the attack and starts with 3 off two deliveries as DC struggle for boundaries. Every time it looks like they'll get one, there's a fielder situated in the area. DC really need to accelerate here. And Rahul falls trying to do just that. They are checking if it's a fair catch by Hetmyer and it is!!

Riyan Parag in the attack now and a misfield leads to Porel taking a single. That slipped from the fielder's hands which means dew is already setting in. Good bowling from Parag, yielding just 3 from the first 4 deliveries. 5 from this one.

Theekshana continues and Rahul starts this one off with a single. And Rahul with a huge six over the long off boundary!! 50-run partnership up. 10 from this one.

Hasaranga again and Rahul takes a single to start this over off. 2 more from the next three deliveries as DC are being pegged back by a disciplained RR bowling attack. Finally a googly goes wrong and porel cuts it away for a four to end the over.

Theekshana continues and oh dear! A slip from Jurel as the ball goes through him for a boundary!! Pretty fortunate for Rahul. Two singles next as the DC batters keep rotating strike. 9 from the over.

DC 69/2 after 9 overs

Hasaranga introduced now and yields a single off the first two deliveries. Two singles from the next two as the Sri Lankan wizard keeps it tight. Just 4. Excellent over.

DC 60/2 after 8 overs

Deshpande back to make amends for that 23-run over. Rahul takes a single to put Porel on strike who returns the favour with a single of his own. And Rahul clears his front hip and sends the ball sailing over the ropes for a 6!! 50 up for DC. 2 singles to end the over.

DC 56/2 after 7 overs

Sandeep continues and starts with a yorker as Porel somehow keeps it out. Takes a single next to put Rahul back on strike. Just a single from the next two deliveries with RR doing very well of putting the reins on this DC innings. Just 2 to end. 4 from this one.

Theekshana introduced now and Porel with a single to start. Back to back dots now as Rahul is cautious. And the bowler errs in line with a full toss straight to Rahul who flicks it for a four!! 5 off this one.

Sandeep Sharma in the attack and almost a run out!! But Sandeep colected the ball and then hit the stumps. But that does not matter as Nair is left stranded at the non-striker's end!! Disappointing end to Nair's innings.

Archer in to bowl the next and Porel defends the first delivery before taking a single. AND Fraser-McGurk is gone. Slices at the delivery and that's fallen into the hands of Jaiswal.

Tushar Deshpande in the attack now and he'll be bowling to Porel. And he starts with a full toss on the pads that is flicked for a four!! Absolute gift. And slices the next one, doesn't go where he intended but still finds another boundary!! Oh wow!!! Gets even better as Porel brings out the pick up shot for a SIX to fine leg!! And places the next delivery to the boundary as well!! Tushar is flabbergasted. Pulls the next one and that finds a boundary too!! You got to feel for the bowler here. Already 22. A single to end.

Sanju Samson: We'll bowl first, looks like a good wicket. Gets better in the second half. The results and match conditions have been different, but we are still early in the tournament so we want to bowl first and get an advantage. It is a competitive league, so we need to look past results sometimes. We decided as a team we need to put in a good performance whatever happens. Same team.

Axar Patel: Would have bowled as well. There will be dew perhaps in the second innings, but now we are ready to bat first and put up a big score. Last game also we did well chasing, just a matter of a couple of overs here and there going in our favour. Need to look past the last game, but it is a learning experience. We discussed in the team meetings how we could have finished the game, we perhaps got too casual in the middle phase. Same team for us as well.

Dimensions - 61m to the right and 62m to the left, 72m straight. Not a great place to be a bowler. It is a nice surface, we saw in the last game as well when 205 runs were scored. It is a bit drier today so it gives the bowlers enough assistance. There’s decent grass cover but it is a bit patchy. The average winning score last season was 230, but this surface will give the bowlers a little more grip for the spinners and the quick bowlers with their change-ups. Looks like an even surface that gives the bowlers a little bit and the batters a little bit as well. But because of the dimensions, there are a few more challenges for the bowlers, reckon Greame Swann and Shane Watson

While Axar Patel's captaincy deservedly getting a load of plaudits with the allrounder guiding DC to a winning streak after the departure of Rishabh Pant, one aspect that has been missing this season has been his batting. So far, he has accumulated 67 runs from 5 matches and DC will hope that Patel finds hsi batting form soon.

If you look at Feroz Shah Kotla's stats. the team batting first have won 43 times as opposed to 46 by the chasing team. RCB's Chris Gayle and DC's (now LSG) Rishabh Pant have the highest individual scores here with 128 runs against DC in 2012 and SRH in 2018. The highest team score here is 266/7 by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2024 vs DC while the lowest score is by DC where they posted 83 vs Chennai Super Kings. The highest run chase here is 187/3 by DC vs RCB in 2023. The best bowling figures were recorded by Mumbai Indians' Lasith Malinga back in 2012 vs DC where he took 5 wickets for 13 runs.

It's the battle of two wicket-keeper batters as KL Rahul and Sanju Samson lock horns at the Kotla. With the T20 World Cup next year, Samson is the shoo-in favourite but if Rahul has amn IPL to remember, the selectors might have to rethink when choosing between them for next year's extravaganza.

Rajasthan have been inconsistent with the bat this season with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shimron Hetmyer their only consistent performers but they have been blowing hot and cold as well. Skipper Sanju and nitish rana have a fifty each but haven't really fired this season. Delhi, meanwhile, have a problem on top of the order with Jake Fraser-McGurk not in good form with the bat.

The weather in Delhi is expected to be pretty warm with 38 degrees during the day, coming down to 27 degrees as the day progresses. There is expected to dew so the captain who wins the toss will opt to bowl first. However, with the option of the second ball available, that might not make a difference with MI using the new rule to full advantage against DC in the last match at Kotla on Sunday.
