Sena-BJP for implementation of 80% jobs for locals

“The Sena-BJP combine,if voted to power,would ensure vigorous implementation of the provision for setting aside 80 per cent jobs for sons-of-the-soil,” the saffron combine’s poll manifesto,released by senior leaders including Uddhav Thackeray and Gopinath Munde here today,said.

The manifesto also promised that the Sena-BJP Government will waive farmers’ loans and launch pension scheme for farm labourers who are over 65 years.

Farm loans would be made available at four per cent interest,it said.

Prices of essential items would be kept stable for five years,the manifesto said. Shortage of electricity supply would be a thing of the past within three years and power tariff for Mumbai and suburbs would be uniform,it added.

The alliance would set up a memorial for Maratha king Shivaji Maharaj in five years,the manifesto said.

The state government has already planned a Rs 350 crore memorial for Shivaji off Mumbai coast.
