The fitness issue of India speedster Zaheer Khan took a dramatic turn on Thursday as the bowler himself said he was surprised at the reports that said he was all set to go to Pakistan. 8216;8216;There will be no compromises on my fitness. I will travel to Pakistan only if I8217;m 100 per cent fit,8217;8217; Zaheer told The Indian Express.

He added that he was going to visit Dr Anant Joshi for complete check-up after two days. 8216;8216;The picture will clear only after March 1. I8217;m too fascinated by Pakistan, its people and food. Naturally I would like to part of the touring party, but only if I8217;m able to deliver to my fullest,8217;8217; he said.

Zaheer reiterated his top priority was to be able to bowl 8216;8216;flat out8217;8217;. 8216;8216;I will not play international cricket if I8217;m not doing that bowling flat out,8217;8217; he asserted during a telephonic talk after his return from Chennai where he had a session at the MRF Foundation with veteran Australian guru Dennis Lillee.

8216;8216;Lillee has advised me to be patient and not compromise anywhere on my fitness,8217;8217; said Zaheer.
