Discovering the Vedas
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Youth Forum, Pune chapter has invited applications for a two-day yoga retreat camp for youngsters. College boys or employed youth can attend this residential camp on January 23 and 24. The camp promises the youth with an opportunity to experience firsthand the Vedic lifestyle by actually staying within the temple premises. The spectrum of activities include OHP presentations of topics from the Vedic classics, quizzes, colour slide shows, audio, video shows, group discussions and meals. Testing times
`Quiz Queen Contest’ – a quiz competition was held on January 9 at Tilak Smarak Mandir by Sakal Press Publications and Consumer Shoppee. This quiz had two written tests and a personality round. The latter had situation-based questions. Manasi Vartak was crowned the Quiz Queen, followed by Rohini Thakkar and Manik Chandrachur respectively. Sonali Kulkarni was the guest of honour.
