
NEW DELHI, May 11: A woman was stabbed on Sunday afternoon by a group of four men who entered her house in an attempt to commit a robbery.
The incident occurred around 2.30 pm. The woman, Rashmi Gupta, was alone in her house in Majhlis park in Adarsh Nagar and her maidservant was working in another room upstairs. According to the FIR, she was washing clothes when she was suddenly held from behind and thrown to the floor by two youths.
Two other youths approached her. One of them held a knife to her and threatened her to keep quiet. However, when she cried out for help, he reportedly stabbed her. The other youth then took out a revolver and threatened her. When the maid servant, hearing the commotion, came downstairs to investigate, the four youths fled the spot. Rashmi Gupta later noticed that her chain was missing. A case has been registered and Adarsh nagar police are investigating the case.
