A 45-year-old woman was found murdered in her house at Ramnagar in Udhna on Friday afternoon. According to the police, the deceased, Chandrika Tailor, had been tied with a rope and her throat slit.
The police said the victim8217;s son, Nirmal 20 came back from the college and found his mother lying dead on the floor of her bedroom. He then informed his father Chandu and brother Abhishek.
Chandu, who runs a tailoring shop in Pandesara immediately rushed to his house. Abhishek also came home after sometime.
Udhna police rushed to the spot after learning about the incident and sent the body to the New Civil Hospital for a post-mortem.
The police have ruled out robbery or theft as the motive behind the murder. They suspect that Chandu might be involved in the crime. The police said Chandu had an affair with a woman staying near his shop in Pandesara.
The couple had regular quarrels over this issue. Chandrika had warned Chandu to end the relationship, but he was continuing with it. Apparently, Chandrika once even went to the woman8217;s house and scolded her in this regard.
Assistant Commissioner of Police B division M V Mehta, said: 8220;Chandu and his two sons left for work early in the morning and Chandrika was all alone in the house. We found that there were some injuries on her body, which suggests that she had tried to defend herself before the murder. Her throat was slit, which led to her death.8221;
