Steven Tyler has quit Aerosmith,says lead guitarist

LOS ANGELES: In an interview with The Las Vegas Sun,Aerosmiths lead guitarist Joe Perry said that the singer Steven Tyler quit after a concert in Abu Dhabi. Steven quit as far as I can tell, Perry told The Sun. I dont know any more than you do about it. Perry was responding to remarks that Tyler made in an interview with Classic Rock,a British music magazine,in which Tyler said that he was preparing to focus on a solo career. I dont know what Im doing yet, Tyler said,but its definitely going to be something Steven Tyler: working on the brand of myself Brand Tyler. Perry said he had had difficulty confirming this with Tyler because the singer doesnt return his phone calls. Hes notorious for that, Perry said. Thats one thing Ive learned to live with.
