Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Monday rejected the Opposition demand for his resignation over the solar panel investment fraud. Two of Chandys personal aides were recently sacked for to their alleged links with fraudster Saritha S Nair.

Chandy, however, told the Assembly that he had met Sarithas partner Biju Radhakrishnan to discuss their family matters but did not elaborate. An unhappy Opposition asked Chandy if he would intervene in the family matter of 60 lakh households in the state. Radhakrishnan was nabbed from Coimbatore on Monday. Even when he met Chandy months ago,Radhakrishnan was facing several cheating cases apart from a murder charge in connection with his wifes death. Radhakrishnan had on Saturday said that he had met Chandy in connection with Nairs links with K B Ganesh Kumar, who had recently quit as minister.

I met Radhakrishnan after M I Shanavas,Congress MP,introduced him as a company executive. I have neither met Saritha nor given any special privileges to her solar panel company. I would not continue as CM after sacrificing the interest of the state. But I will not quit on this allegation, Chandy told the Assembly.
