LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan on Saturday demanded that former MP CM Arjun Singh come clean on whose instructions he was following in letting Warren Anderson flee the country.

Letting Anderson off the hook was a wrong step. Prima facie the state government was the culprit in letting Anderson go despite his having been booked under a non-bailable offence. Arjun Singh should clarify whether he acted on instructions of the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi or the then Home Minister Narasimha Rao or he acted on his own, Paswan said addressing a press conference in the capital.

Paswan said that the accountability for letting Anderson off the hook must be fixed. Maut ka saudagar merchant of death is roaming free for over 25 years now8230; the accountability must be fixed8230;, Paswan said.

Paswan expressed surprise over media reports where Arjun Singh gave himself a clean chit. Then I would like to know who telephoned the SP or the DM of Bhopal to let Anderson out of Bhopal, Paswan said.

The entire evidence suggests that the state government released Anderson8230; Who gave directions to the DM and the SP? After all,the Prime Minister or Home Minister would not have called them up8230;, Paswan said.

Paswan demanded the setting up of an empowered Commission to go into the tragedy and bring the culprits to book while facilitating relief and rehabilitation of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy victims.
