The Washington Post published an editors note on its website Wednesday apologising for two articles by longtime Post reporter,Sari Horwitz, who used material from The Arizona Republic without crediting that newspaper or citing it as a source.

The note said the articles contained substantial material that was borrowed and duplicated, without attribution, from The Arizona Republic.

Horwitz,two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, apologised and cited deadline pressure. It was wrong. It was inexcusable, she said. And it is one of the cardinal sins in journalism. I apologise to The Arizona Republic and its reporters and editors.
