Vikram Bhatts Andhera on Colors

The soon-to-be launched show will see Anita talking to the dead and helping them put their spirits to rest.

Remember Anita Hassnandani aka Natasha of KKavyanjali and Koi Toh Hai fame? Well, this petite actress will be back on the small screen in a supernatural thriller Andhera, that will be aired on Colors.

The soon-to-be launched show will see Anita talking to the dead and helping them put their spirits to rest. However, this is not the actress first encounter with the supernatural theme. She has earlier done a horror film Krishna Cottage too.

Andhera is being produced and directed by Vikram Bhatt. Earlier Vikram was part of Sonys Specials 10,where apart from him, filmmakers Anurag Kashyap,Madhur Bhandarkar and Mahesh Manjrekar were making serials that they creatively supervised.

Vikram admits that he will be supervising Andhera too,but this time he will be more hands-on. Earlier TV was considered as a secondary medium but today its a parallel artistic medium. Since I have already made two horror films and am ready with a third in 3D,it seemed apt when Colors approached me to do a series in this genre.

When asked how Andhera will be different from the market-leader Aahat,Vikram says,Horrors are of different genres, one is horror that comes to you and another is that of anticipation. Aahat is popular, but the difference between that and Andhera is that we will have a lot of relationships interspersed with horror, just like in my films Raaz and 1920. Its not just spook or scare, there is a relationship story. Its about a couple who have faced a terrible experience and after learning from it,they want to help others who are facing similar situations. Ajay Chaudhary and Anita play the lead. Incidentally,Anita was to do a film with Vikram that didnt happen.
