UTV will release Hook Ya Crook

David Dhawan said that UTV is still trying to work out the dates of some Indian and International cricketers for Hook Ya Crook.

David Dhawan denied reports that UTV has abandoned his movie Hook Ya Crook and that John Abraham and he will release the long-delayed film on their own. Dhawan,who is directing the movie,said,UTV has put in their money in the project,not John and me,and they will be releasing the film. There were reports that only 10 per cent of the movie is yet to be shot. But many portions are still pending. Since its based on cricket,there are certain crucial scenes for which we need real-life cricketers. The project has been delayed as UTV is still trying to work out the dates of some Indian and international cricketers who will be seen in the film.

He also added that Hook Ya Crook,which stars Kay Kay Menon,Shreyas Talpade,Genelia DSouza and Amrita Arora,will release next year. The film revolves around John who forms a cricket team in a prison. A major portion of the movie has been shot at the Ramoji Rao Studios in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile,the director is giving final touches to the script of Rascals which will take off in October-end in Mumbai. Sanjay Dutt,Ajay Devgn and Kangna Ranaut will play principal roles in the film.
