Uttam Galva Q2 Net up 6 per cent

Leading steel maker Uttam Galva reported about six per cent jump in net profit.

Leading steel maker Uttam Galva reported about six per cent jump in net profit for the second quarter ended September 30 at Rs 23.14 crore over the same period a year-ago.

The company had a net profit of Rs 21.77 crore in the second quarter of the last fiscal.

The company8217;s net sales stood at Rs 1,304.02 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal,as against Rs 1,102.56 crore in the year-ago period.

Uttam Galva8217;s shares today closed at Rs 153.30,down 2.5 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange,as against the previous close.
