Qaeda releases video of American abducted in Pak
Islamabad: Al-Qaeda has released a video of an American NGO worker kidnapped by it in Pakistan in 2011,in which he is shown asking US President Barack Obama to negotiate with his captors for his release. Warren Weinstein,72,seen wearing a a grey tracksuit,sounded tired as he said he felt totally abandoned and forgotten. Weinstein,kidnapped from his home in Lahore,said he was suffering from a heart ailment and severe asthma. Killed Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri said in December 2011 Weinstein would be freed if Washington stopped air strikes in Pakistan,Afghanistan,Somalia and Yemen. PTI
