Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said it had become difficult to decide if the reputation of the rupee was falling faster than the credibility of the UPA government.
8230;After our economist prime minister has taken charge,the rupee has sunk to Rs 60 against the dollar. There seems to be a competition between the rupee and our government in Delhi, Modi said at an awards ceremony organised by Zee TV here.
With several market analysts and industrialists such as Anand Mahindra and Zydus Cadila CMD Pankaj Patel in the audience,Modi attacked the UPA government for its alleged policy paralysis.
People have lost confidence in policymakers. Even if they have to decide on early polls,they need to take a decision. How can you expect decisions to be made by those who havent taken any in the last nine years, Modi said. The NDA had built a strong foundation,but this government has only created new debts and burden.
