Toonpur Ka Superhero to release on December 17

Toonpur Ka Superhero which has Ajay Devgn playing a reel-life hero who becomes a real life hero,is due for release on December 17.

December 17 has been finally locked for Kireet Khurana’s Toonpur Ka Superhero,India’s first live-action animation film which was delayed for almost two years. Khurana is presently busy with the movies DI (Digital Intermediate) and colour correction and said that the first promo of the film is also being readied. “We plan to release the promo with a big film after a month,” said Khurana,who has made about 300 short,animated and

documentary films.

He stressed that Toonpur Ka Superhero is not a remake of the 1996 Space Jam. “It is in the same genre,a live-action animation film,but the story is entirely different with Ajay Devgn playing a reel-life hero who becomes a real life hero. Kajol also plays herself in the film,” he added.

Though the producer,Kumar Mangat,and he did want to convert the film into 3D,they are retaining the original 2D format. “We made the film in 3D,but it looked better in 2D,so we have retained the original format,” he said.
