Madhuri Dixit Nene visited Subhash Ghai8217;s film and multimedia school Whistling Woods International in Mumbai8217;s Film City. She was shooting for an ad film and met Rob Reece,one of the renowned Acting Gurus from Actor8217;s Studio in Hollywood,who is now heading the Actor8217;s Studio at Whistling Woods International for the last two years. It might be recalled that when Madhuri started off her career in the 80s,Ghai was one of her mentors.
Indisposed
Zarine Khan recently underwent a surgery for appendicitis. While the actor was shooting for one of the scenes of Housefull 2 at Filmistan studios in Mumbai,she complained of severe stomach pain. When the pain became unbearable,she was rushed to a hospital where she was diagnosed with appendicitis and advised surgery. The shooting got disrupted due to her surgery but the rest of the cast was co-operative and agreed immediately.
Court appearance
Fardeen Khan was spotted outside the Sessions Court in Mumbai last week when the proceedings against the actor in the cocaine possession case finally went on trial. Khan,who was found with cocaine on him,has already scored a victory in October after a special judge directed the Narcotics Control Bureau NCB to try Khan only for attempting to buy one and not nine grams of cocaine as sought by the NCB.
Thanking friends
Shah Rukh Khan has ordered five BMW 7 series sedans from a local dealer for his friends who helped him in the making of his ambitious film RA.One. The lucky recipients are actor Arjun Rampal,director Anubhav Sinha and south Indian superstar Rajinikanth,who has made a cameo appearance in the film for which he specially flew down to Mumbai despite his ill health. The names of the other two people are not yet known. SRK has always been known for his generosity with gifts to his friends.
Final journey
Thousands of fans in Assam paid their last respects to Dr Bhupen Hazarika before his ashes were immersed in different rivers,including the Brahmaputra. In Golaghat,the ashes were taken out in a procession and immersed in the Dhansiri while in Guwahati,visitors thronged Dr Hazarikas Nizarapar residence. Mourners were seen at the cremation spot at Gauhati University in Jalukbari lighting earthen lamps in memory of the singer.
Tibetans angry with Censor board
Members of the Students for a Free Tibet SFT expressed their discontent after the Censor board edited a scene that showed the Tibetan flag and Free Tibet slogan in Imtiaz Alis Rockstar. The Censor Boards move to edit the scene that appears in the song Sadda haq has invited the ire of Tibetans across the country. As a mark of protest the activists will be carrying Tibetan flags during the movies screening at various theatres.
