Your next release is Dus Tola. What is your role in it?
I play a goldsmith in the film. The movie is about love,passion and relationships. Its a soft,romantic movie on the lines of R K Narayans Malgudi Days.

Any particular reason for the film not being promoted too much?
Well,not really. The movie releases next month on October 22. The promotional activities will kick off soon.

How was the experience while shooting Anurag Kashyaps Gangs Of Wasseypur and playing a coal mafia don?
Anurag has come up with a fabulous script. I cant say much about the character at this point though. The film is set in Bihar and were shooting it in two parts. Apart from me,you will see a bunch of very talented theatre actors in the movie.

Youre also shooting for Arakshan.
Yes,Im currently working on Anurags film and Arakshan,my next movie with Prakash Jha.

When is Chittagong releasing?
I was shooting for Chittagong in the beginning of this year. I play Surya Sen,the leader of the Chittagong uprising. It is scheduled to release in October as well.

Are you wary of Ashutosh Gowarikers film on the same subject?
No,not really. Although both movies are based on the same uprising Im sure each films treatment will be different.

Do you also watch a lot of international movies?
Yes,I do. In fact,I watch at least one film a day. Sometimes I watch world movies too. Thats the primary reason why I gave my nod to the channel.

Youre seen on television recommending foreign movies. How did that happen?
UTV World Movies wanted me to be a guest for one of their properties. All I had to do was choose my favourite world movies. Its a short stint where I select five films that will run for five weeks on the channel.

Youve carved a niche with your offbeat roles. Are you satisfied with the way your career has shaped up?
These are the kind of films I get so I choose the best roles from what is offered to me. I am happy with my career. Whatever I am today is because of the roles Ive essayed so far.
