Suzlon bags 18 MW project from GSFC

Suzlon Energy has bagged a contract from GSFC for setting up a wind energy project in Gujarat.

Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy said it has bagged a contract from Gujarat State Fertilisers amp; Chemicals GSFC for setting up a wind energy project in Gujarat.

The company has bagged a repeat order from GSFC for setting up,operating and maintaining an 18 MW project at Adodar in Porbandar district of Gujarat,Suzlon Energy said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange BSE.

8220;It gives us great pride to partner with leading state PSU8217;s like GSFC,who are committed to the vision of powering development through sustainable energy and the mitigation of climate change,8221; Suzlon Energy Ltd President-South Asia and Middle East Ashok D8217;Sa said.

The project,GSFC8217;s third with Suzlon,is scheduled for commissioning by June 2010,it said.

The company,however,has not given any financial details of the project.

Shares of Suzlon Energy were trading at Rs 75.20 on BSE,up 2.45 per cent from its previous close.
