Special anniversary

Anil Kapoor celebrated his 53rd birthday on December 24 with his wife Sunita,children Rhea and Harsh,who is studying in the US and is home for the holidays as well as his friends.

Daughter Sonam,who is shooting in Punjab for Mausam,however missed the celebrations. The family even celebrated Christmas the next day.

Govinda turned 47 on December 21 and he spent a quiet day with his family,who rang in his birthday over a sumptuous Chinese dinner.

But Sohail Khan celebrated his birthday in a grand way. He had many of this friends from the industry attending his bash.

Plea rejected

Delhi High Court has rejected Bappi Lahiris plea against Toonpur Ka Superrhero,giving the film a clean chit.

The music composer had earlier served a legal notice on the makers of film,alleging that he was portrayed in a derogatory light through one of the films animated characters.

The character Guppy,a singer in the movie,looks similar to Lahiri right down to the multiple gold chains.

Hearing deferred

A local court in Ballia deferred the hearing of a petition filed against actor Aamir Khan,producer Bobby Bedi and director Ketan Mehta alleging wrong portrayal of war hero Mangal Pandey in the film Mangal Pandey: The Rising,till January 10. Civil Judge Azad Singh posted the matter for hearing on January 10 as it could not be held due to a function of the bar association.
