Snowden’s father in Russia

Fugitive National Security Agency contractor Edward J Snowden is getting a visit from his father. Lon Snowden arrived Thursday morning at Sheremetyevo Airport where he told a waiting Russian television crew that he has had no direct contact with his son since June. Im not sure that my son will be returning to the US again, Snowden said. Thats his decision you know. Hes an adult.

Lon Snowden added he had come to Russia as a guest of Anatoly G Kucherena,Snowdens legal aide in Russia.

Im his father, he said. I love my son and again Im here to meet with Kucherena and learn more about my sons situation and if the opportunity presents itself I certainly hope that Ill have an opportunity to see my son.
