Sri Sathya Sai Baba was the one who opened the path of love and compassion to millions of his devotees,spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi said.
Expressing grief over Sai Baba’s demise,Amritanandamayi asked his devotees to exercise self-control and regain their spiritual strength.
“Sathya Sai Baba’s life was his message. Each devotee should follow the path of love and compassion shown by Sathya Saibaba. That is the greatest tribute and affection anyone could offer him,” Amritanandamayi said in her message.
Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy and BJP leader O Rajagopal also condoled the demise of Sathya Sai Baba.
In his message,Chandy said Sai Baba (86) would be remembered by the world for his spiritual leadership and service to humanity. Sai Baba taught his followers to love human beings without discrimination,he said.
Rajagopal said even though the baba was no more,millions of his devotees would be following his teachings. Sri Sathya Sai Baba,whose spiritual clout ran far and wide,passed away this morning in Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district due to cardio-respiratory failure.
