Relief,anger at US mosque

At the Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Centre in the Washington-area where Anwar al-Awlaki used to preach,there were few tears over the death of the al-Qaeda figure who gave the mosque its unwanted association with terrorism. But some found the way he was killed to be un-American. Most worshippers said they were glad he was gone that he besmirched Islam by calling for the deaths of innocent Americans. But others rejected both al-Awlakis calls for violence against Americans and the US airstrike that killed him,saying he hadnt even been charged with a crime.
